A FEW DAILY PARKING PASSES WILL BE AVAILABLE TO THOSE DRIVING TO NRC-SASKATOON.  HOWEVER THE NUMBER OF PASSES IS LIMITED, SO PLEASE CONSIDER WALKING OR CABBING TO THE EVENT.

Improving Abiotic Stress Tolerance

 

Objective:  To improve drought, heat and cold tolerance of wheat.

Activities:

  • Systematic and integrative analysis of water deficit/heat stress responses Identification of genes conferring water stress tolerance by modern genetical-genomics tools
  • Investigation of specific candidate genes affecting water use (WU) and water use efficiency (WUE)
  • Defining cold and freezing stress adaptation ideotypes from glycerolipid metabolism and gene expression profiles
